After a string of three wins, the Alpaugh Buffalos's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Kings Christian, falling 84-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Alpaugh has suffered yet this season.
Ronnie Roche was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-11 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds for Kings Christian. That's the first time this season that Roche pulled down eight or more rebounds. Trey Brouwer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Alpaugh's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Kings Christian, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Alpaugh will head out on the road to square off against Laton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Laton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Kings Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Strathmore at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th. Strathmore has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 293 points over their last five matches.
