Not much got past Emily Fantone, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep New Smyrna Beach off the board. That's the most strikeouts Fantone has posted since back in February of 2024.
On the hitting side, Payton Mathis was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Cheyanne Gosselin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
