Basketball Recap: Clear Creek's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Clear Creek ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clear Falls Knights, sneaking past 57-55. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Knights are ranked 180th).

Clear Creek's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-17. As for Clear Falls, they moved to 19-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clear Creek will welcome Clear Brook at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clear Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Clear Falls, they will be playing at home against Clear Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clear Springs will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Clear Falls surely won't give up without a fight.
