Tamarac is 8-2 against Greenwich since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bengals will face off against the Witches at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tamarac comes in on 12 and Greenwich on eight.
Greenwich's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Tamarac hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Bengals never let Waterford-Halfmoon get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bengals, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Erin Lee was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tamarac got a massive performance out of Addison Ferris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Makenna Ashe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.
Tamarac kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Greenwich got the win against Hoosic Valley on Wednesday by a conclusive 23-6. The Witches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.
Tamarac pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Greenwich, their record is now 16-3.
Tamarac came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenwich in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
