Fernando Vargas put up the most stolen bases he's had since back in February on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Weston Ranch's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't).

Vargas' strong effort led Weston Ranch over McNair and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are limping into the matchup having lost 13 straight at home dating back to last season.
