Even though the Spring Valley Grizzlies scored an imposing 68 points on Tuesday, the Coronado Cougars still came out on top. Coronado walked away with a 76-68 win over Spring Valley. Given Coronado's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Spring Valley is ranked 39th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Coronado's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tee Bartlett led the charge by dropping a double-double on 31 points and 17 rebounds. Bartlett is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Josiah Cunningham, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.

As for Spring Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Arbor View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arbor View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Spring Valley likes a good challenge.
