The Oneida Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Roane County Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oneida is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Oneida managed to slip by Northview Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Indians lost 5-1 to the Cougars on Tuesday. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Oneida it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Miles Laxton, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Roane County came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Cherokees as they made off with a 9-1 victory.

Roane County now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Oneida, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Oneida was able to grind out a solid win over Roane County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-2. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
