The Perry Central Commodores's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Springs Valley 62-56. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Saturday (55), Perry Central still had to take the loss.
Among those leading the charge was Konner Chase, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 3 assists. Deion Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Springs Valley, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry Central will be home for the holidays to greet Southridge at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southridge will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Springs Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Loogootee at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Loogootee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Springs Valley in Indiana (Loogootee is ranked 46th, while Springs Valley is ranked 296th).
