The McIntosh Demons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Brantley Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. McIntosh will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
McIntosh extended their postseason success on Thursday against Leroy. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 win over the Bears. Given McIntosh's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Leroy is ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Brantley pushed their score all the way to 72 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 78-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Florala. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (70), Brantley still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Daylan Davis, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jayden Parks was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Brantley struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Florala racked up 13 assists.
McIntosh's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Brantley, their loss ended a 23-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-10.
