Brock (Texas) grabbed the lead when
Leddy French ran for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
Booker (Texas) 28-22 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured three lead swaps.
The Eagles expanded their lead to eight points entering the fourth quarter. Brock's lone score in the quarter came on a defensive touchdown.
The loss comes after Booker defeated Claude 61-13 last week. The victory was a step in the right direction for the Eagles, who were coming off a 43-21 defeat at the hands of Episcopal School of Dallas in its previous game. The loss broke Booker's two-game winning streak.
Brock (2-1) will play a non-conference game against Chico next week, while Booker (2-1) will take on Texhoma also in a non-conference game.
