The Dwyer Panthers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Southridge Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard on Thursday.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dwyer had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 58-45 win over the Tigers.
Amari Nealy was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Jones, who scored three points along with nine blocks and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Southridge put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They breezed by Southwest on the road to the tune of 93-59. The win was nothing new for Southridge as they're now sitting on four straight.
Dwyer's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Southridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Dwyer beat Southridge 75-66 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Dwyer repeat their success, or does Southridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
