The biggest upset of the week belonged to Marple Newtown, who took down 187th ranked Harriton, 45-27.
Ridley extended the longest winning streak in Central this week by beating Garnet Valley, 27-17. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
The Rams' dynamic duo of Patrick Moriarty and Juwan Valentine proved tough for the Fightin' Tigers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Moriarty threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns and Valentine had 95 yards receiving. Kenny Brown helped Harriton's passing attack out by catching five balls for 61 yards.
Aaron Coyne was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 92 yards as Springfield lost to Marple Newtown. Mike Dougherty also contributed to the rushing game with 28 yards on the ground.
Harriton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Moriarty has thrown for 1022 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Brown has 21 catches for 400 yards. Andre Pendleton leads the league in rushing with 552 yards.
A big matchup in Central this week will be when Matt Barr's team takes on Haverford. The Rams are currently in seventh, while the Fords are in third.
Ray Gionta's team moved up to 243 from 314 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Fightin' Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of a 45-27 win over Harriton.
