Clear Spring's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Williamsport at home and fell 67-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Clear Spring has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Meanwhile, North Hagerstown pushed their score all the way to 71 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williamsport. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (69), North Hagerstown still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, North Hagerstown got a solid performance out of Brady Walters, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. Walters has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Somerville, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Clear Spring's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for North Hagerstown, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Clear Spring skirted past North Hagerstown 78-76 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was North Hagerstown's Theo Madison, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds.
