The Lamar Raiders had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by East Rankin Academy on the road to the tune of 62-26. The win was just what Lamar needed coming off of a 67-42 loss in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Cooper Gordy, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and seven steals. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Hart, who scored 17 points along with three blocks.
Lamar's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for East Rankin Academy, their defeat was their tenth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-13.
Lamar will take on Park Place Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Rankin Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Wayne Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
