The Kalskag Grizzly Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They put the hurt on Bethel with a sharp 61-41 win. That's another feather in the cap for Kalskag, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Emily Evan had a dynamite game for Kalskag, scoring 22 points. It was the first time this season that Evan scored 15 or more points. Aurriaunna Peterson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The victory made it two in a row for Kalskag and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Bethel, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-11.
Kalskag does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethel, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Kotzebue at 8:00 p.m. on February 16th.
