Claire Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards. Her evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslene Etheridge, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Lawrence Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Albemarle School hadn't done well against Pungo Christian Academy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Albemarle School secured a 51-46 W over Pungo Christian Academy.
Lawrence Academy better keep an eye on Addison Delosreyes. She was instrumental in Albemarle School's win, shooting 6-for-9 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 31 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Delosreyes a new career-high in points. Meghan Parker was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.
Lawrence Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.3 points. As for Albemarle School, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
