They took a 23-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Scottsdale Christian Academy on Saturday. Arizona Lutheran Academy's loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak dating back to last season.
It was another big night for Andrew Trapp, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also caught a touchdown. Trapp really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. Scottsdale Christian Academy also got a significant boost from Everett Salazar, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
Arizona Lutheran Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Arizona Lutheran Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Scottsdale Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Pima at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pima has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 507 points over their last nine games.
