This season hasn't been kind to the Sandhills Valley Mavericks, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They were dealt a 51-12 loss at the hands of Brady on Thursday. Sandhills Valley has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Brady's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lydia McGown led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Stienike, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Sandhills Valley dropped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Brady, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandhills Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on February 2nd. Paxton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mavericks in Nebraska (the Tigers are ranked 110th, while the Mavericks are ranked 275th). As for Brady, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Arapahoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday.
