The McCallum Knights will head out on the road to take on the Bastrop Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bastrop will be up against a hot McCallum squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went McCallum's way against Richards School for Young Women Leaders on Monday as McCallum made off with a 13-1 victory.

McCallum got a massive performance out of Lila Brotherton, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave Brotherton a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabela Vaca, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
McCallum was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bastrop made easy work of Anderson on Monday and carried off an 18-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.
Molleigh Goertz looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lanie Coy was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Madison Perez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Bastrop pushed their record up to 10-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for McCallum, their record now sits at 7-4.
Bastrop's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. McCallum has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bastrop, though, as they've been averaging only 2.4 strikeouts. Will McCallum keep running through batters, or will Bastrop buck the trend?
McCallum suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Bastrop when the teams last played back in February of 2018. Can McCallum avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
