The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 54-20 victory over Bonanza. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Southeast Career Tech has posted since December 7, 2023.
Southeast Career Tech had a senior duo take command as Morgan Sweet dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds and Bianca Vazquez scored 24 points along with two steals. Sweet is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelie Pernyak, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Southeast Career Tech's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Bonanza, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Southeast Career Tech will head out on the road to take on Eldorado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eldorado comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Bonanza, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday.
