The Cumberland Dukes will head out on the road to challenge the Prince Edward County Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumberland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully the Eagles like a good challenge.
Cumberland pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-65 bruising from Buckingham.
Meanwhile, Prince Edward County pushed their score all the way to 70 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 79-70 to Nottoway. Prince Edward County has not had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Cumberland's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Prince Edward County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
Everything went Cumberland's way against the Eagles in their previous meeting back in January as the Dukes made off with a 68-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cumberland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
