The St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against North County Christian by a score of 61-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Louis HomeSchool P also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
St. Louis HomeSchool P's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Keys, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Liam Boyce, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
North County Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Kendrick Robinson and Lynus Mitchell. Robinson scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Mitchell scored 20 points along with six steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Washington, who scored two points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
St. Louis HomeSchool P pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for North County Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
St. Louis HomeSchool P on the road again on Tuesday and play against Christian School District at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Christian School District will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 560th, while St. Louis HomeSchool P is ranked 245th). As for North County Christian, they will play host again and welcome SIUE East St. Louis Charter, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
