After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Buena Vista, Omaha South was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They managed  a  49-43 victory over the Burke Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  67-57  back in December of 2024.

Harper  dropped  a double-double on 34  points and 13  boards, while  Hodoly  posted eight  points in addition to ten  boards and seven  steals.  Despite the  defeat, Burke saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Janelle Clark  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and 16  rebounds.

Omaha South's win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-6. As for Burke, their loss was  their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-6.
