Chandler is 0-10 against Hamilton since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Wolves will welcome the Huskies at 3:45 p.m. Chandler is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Marana hit Chandler with a five-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves lost 11-1 to the Tigers.
Lily Kolsrud made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one double. Lexi Salem also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Hamilton faced Perry in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Huskies might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-4 to the Pumas, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. It was the first time this season that the Huskies let down their fans at home.
Hamilton also got a good showing from Madison Moyar, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moyar has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Taylor Hampton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Amanda Benites was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Chandler, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chandler hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Hamilton struggles in that department as they've averaged .342. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chandler might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Hamilton when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
