New Palestine (Ind.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 51-7 victory over Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, Ind.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter, the Dragons led 35-0 at the half.
New Palestine expanded its lead to 44 points entering the fourth quarter. NP scored two times in the third, including once on a
Blake Luker touchdown run.
Greenfield-Central's only touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Skylar Gary in the fourth quarter.
The Dragons went into the matchup giving up only 7.9 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 47-7 win for New Palestine.
In a Hoosier Heritage game next week Greenfield-Central (1-7) takes on Pendleton Heights, and New Palestine (8-0) will go up against Mt. Vernon also in a Hoosier Heritage game.
