Justin Hardy ran for two touchdowns and
Luke Porter added two as well as
Homewood (Ala.) beat Talladega (Ala.) 56-0 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Porter touchdown pass to
Devonte Wallace in the first quarter, the Patriots led 42-0 at the half.
Homewood expanded its lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by Hardy.
With the win the Patriots extended their winning streak to eight games. Homewood defeated the Wildcats 69-6 last week.
HHS's standout player in the win was Porter. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The Patriots came into the game allowing 12.6 points per game.
Homewood (8-1) will play a non-conference game against Russell next week, while Talladega (3-6) will take on Munford also in a non-conference game.
