Putnam City West is on a five-game streak of home losses, Grant a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Putnam City West Patriots will take on the Grant Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Putnam City West fell victim to Stillwater's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Pioneers 59-0. While losing is never fun, Putnam City West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Stillwater is ranked 22nd).
Even if they lost, Putnam City West's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Stillwater's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. Stillwater's QB won't forget Aaron Edwards anytime soon given Edwards sacked him four times.
Meanwhile, Grant fell victim to Tahlequah's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 44-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers.
The losses dropped Putnam City West to 3-5 and Grant to 2-6.
