The Clark Eagles have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Simeon on Monday. If Clark hoped to take revenge for the 55-38 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Simeon was led to victory by Mariyah Robinson and Sheliyah Battle. Robinson scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, while Battle scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Battle has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Koriel Webster, who scored five points.
Clark's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Simeon, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Clark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Simeon will head out on the road to challenge Mother McAuley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Mother McAuley's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home while Simeon has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
