Faith Christian will be strutting in after a win while Colleton Prep Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Faith Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lowcountry Leadership, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory. The win was just what Faith Christian needed coming off of a 61-30 loss in their prior match.
Faith Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Freberg led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Freberg's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Coleman, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Colleton Prep Academy, who are still winless after their seventh match. They fell to Calhoun Academy 51-47. Colleton Prep Academy has struggled against Calhoun Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Faith Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Colleton Prep Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7.
Faith Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Colleton Prep Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2020, winning 57-49. Will Faith Christian repeat their success, or does Colleton Prep Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
