Make it seven blowout wins for the Fountain Hills Falcons this season. They claimed a resounding 52-21 win over Camp Verde on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Fountain Hills has posted since November 30, 2023.
Leading Fountain Hills to victory were Alicia Ibarra and Seilah Smith. Ibarra scored 15 points along with six steals, while Smith scored 15 points along with seven assists and four steals. Saedee Smith was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Camp Verde saw an underclassman step up: Page Oothoudt scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Fountain Hills' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Camp Verde, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Fountain Hills will take on Wickenburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wickenburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Fountain Hills is ranked 68th). As for Camp Verde, they will head out on the road to face off against Bourgade Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
