The biggest upset of the week belonged to William Allen, who took down 422nd ranked Lehighton, 26-14. Alvin Lara threw for 145 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 51 yards in the win.
Pleasant Valley was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Mountain Valley. The Bears defeated East Stroudsburg South 21-10 earlier in the week.
Andrew Romeo was the best wideout in the league this week as Pleasant Valley defeated the Cavaliers. Romeo tallied four receptions for 87 yards. Tony Bell helped Pleasant Valley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 38 yards.
Altarique Mosley-Dew was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 280 yards on 35 carries as Stroudsburg bested East Stroudsburg South. Donovan McDonald also contributed to the rushing game with 24 yards on the ground.
The Bears' Brandon Leap and Romeo have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mountain Valley in both passing and receiving yards. Leap has thrown for 1303 yards this season, while Romeo has 21 catches for 529 yards. The Mountaineers' Mosley-Dew leads the league in rushing yards with 1117.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Stroudsburg takes on second place East Stroudsburg North. Stroudsburg topped Pocono Mountain East last week, while East Stroudsburg North beat Louis E. Dieruff.
Joe Bernard's team moved up to 73 from 133 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mountaineers were able to make the jump by besting the Cardinals 28-15.
