Lakeview will head out on the road to face off against Poland Seminary at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Lakeview is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Austintown-Fitch just ended the team's 11-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 14-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since April 19th.

Kennedy Bartlett and Mackenzie Stowe stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bartlett went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Stowe went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

LaBrae hit Poland Seminary with a four-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 11-4 to the Vikings.

Kylee Hudran and Avery Jakubovic did some serious damage despite the final result: Hudran went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Jakubovic went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Poland Seminary, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lakeview has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Poland Seminary struggles in that department as they've averaged .477. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Lakeview came out on top in a nail-biter against Poland Seminary in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 16-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
