McAllen won the last time they faced Pioneer and things went their way on Tuesday too. The McAllen Bulldogs blew past the Pioneer Diamondbacks 66-45. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McAllen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Gonzalez, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points. The dominant performance gave Gonzalez a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was D'Aundre Canada, who posted 13 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

McAllen was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pioneer only posted eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Pioneer lost, don't look at Muhamed Shaath. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Maldonado, who had eight points.

McAllen pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Pioneer, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season.

McAllen will square off against Vela at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Vela's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games. As for Pioneer, they will face off against Sharyland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
