In what's become a running theme this season, the Bethany Bronchos gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Newcastle 81-20 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Bethany sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Bethany's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zya Vann, who scored 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Vann is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Keziah Lofton, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five steals.
Bethany's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Newcastle, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.
Bethany won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Cache will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Bronchos are ranked fourth). As for Newcastle, they will head out on the road to take on the Elks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
