After three games on the road, Lafayette is heading back home. They will take on the Southside Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Lafayette didn't have too much trouble with the Rams on the road as they won 55-40. Given Lafayette's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Rams are ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Southside pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Zachary.
Lafayette's victory was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Southside, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.
