South Pike took a serious blow against Brookhaven, falling 66-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Pike has scored all season.
It was another big night for Jaylen Haliburton, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals for Brookhaven. The match was Haliburton's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Jamarius Malone was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
This is the second loss in a row for South Pike and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Brookhaven, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
South Pike's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Amite County at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Amite County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Brookhaven, they will head out on the road to face off against South Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Jones has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 241 points over their last four games.
