The Pueblo East Eagles will challenge the Mitchell Marauders at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Pueblo East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55  points per game  this season.
Pueblo East took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Saturday. They breezed by Widefield to the tune of  68-19. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three  contests by 37  points or more this season.

 Pueblo East relied on the efforts of   Myah Abeyta, who  went 7 of 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to six  assists and six  steals, and   Ilyne Avila, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 21 points and nine  boards. Those 21  points gave  Avila a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sammie Alzate, who  made all 6 shots she took racking up 13 points.
 Meanwhile, Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss  dating back to last season. The  matchup between them and Pueblo Central didn't end well, with Mitchell falling  42-24.
 Pueblo East's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mitchell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Everything came up roses for Pueblo East against Mitchell in their previous meeting  back in December of 2023, as the  squad secured  a  58-7 win. Will Pueblo East repeat their success,  or does  Mitchell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
