Lafayette has gone 10-0 against Bruton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lafayette Rams will look to defend their home court against the Bruton Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Lafayette didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Tabb, but they still walked away with a 40-34 win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lafayette to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenzie Charity, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards Charity has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was MaKayla Keys, who posted six points and four steals.
Meanwhile, Bruton hadn't done well against Poquoson recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Bruton narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Poquoson 41-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Lafayette better keep an eye on Zymeia Taliaferro. She was instrumental in Bruton's win, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Taliaferro is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Alyssa Turner was another key player, putting up ten points.
Lafayette pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Bruton, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lafayette has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21 boards per game. However, it's not like Bruton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything went Lafayette's way against Bruton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Lafayette made off with a 61-39 victory. Will Lafayette repeat their success, or does Bruton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
