The West Jordan Jaguars will take on the Murray Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when West Jordan faced off against Kearns on Friday. The Jaguars blew past the Cougars 10-2. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Christian Flint spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Cody Johnson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Brock Litchfield was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Jordan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Murray entered their tilt with Hunter on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 15-1 victory.
Ryan Lobach looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Atticus Rogers was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Baylor Chappell, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
West Jordan's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Murray, their win bumped their record up to 15-3-1.
Both West Jordan and Murray just can't seem to miss. The Jaguars have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Murray struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Jordan might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Murray in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Jaguars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
