Even though the Redlands East Valley Wildcats scored an imposing 70 points on Tuesday, the Norco Cougars still came out on top. Norco walked away with a 79-70 victory over Redlands East Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Norco.
Norco got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Misael Palafox out in front who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Kameron Brown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Redlands East Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeremiah Ivens, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Ivens' 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrell Green, who scored 16 points along with five assists.
Norco has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Redlands East Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Norco's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northview at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. Redlands East Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Orange Vista at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th.
