The Queensbury Spartans can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 48-28. Queensbury is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 16 straight.
It was another big night for Dyllan Ray, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shea Canavan, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Queensbury's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Queensbury will take on Bethlehem Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Queensbury focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Saratoga Springs at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New York (Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake is ranked 224th, while Saratoga Springs is ranked 232nd).
