The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lindsay, who took down 910th ranked Chico, 41-7.
Collinsville extended the longest winning streak in 1A-1 Region II District 7 this week by beating Trenton, 49-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Thanks to the talents of Ethan McCollum and Landon Boaz, Valley View has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. McCollum leads the league in passing with 1,019 yards, while Boaz has rushed for 1,241 yards this season. Collinsville's Tanner Petska leads the league in receiving yards with 332 on 10 catches.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Collinsville takes on second place Chico. Last week, the Pirates topped the Tigers, while the Dragons lost to the Knights.
The league will see a high scoring game when Collinsville and Chico face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Pirates comes in having scored 290 this season, while Stephen Carter's team has scored 166. Collinsville scored 49 points last week as it topped Trenton.
Lindsay moved up to 893 from 977 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Charles Boles' team was able to move up by besting the Dragons 41-7.
