The Cherokee Chiefs's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Marlboro Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cherokee had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over Kingsway.
Murad Campfield was his usual excellent self, rushing for 195 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Marlboro never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against Hillsborough by a score of 12-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marlboro.
Cherokee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Marlboro, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
