The Spackenkill Spartans had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Dover on the road to the tune of 33-0. Spackenkill's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
Bryan Hoyt had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 207 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. Kason Cummings made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Spackenkill's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Dover, their defeat was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spackenkill will take on New Paltz at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. New Paltz is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Dover, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on November 2nd.
