Leading Amherst County to victory were Jayden Black and Austin Brooks. Black scored 15 points along with eight steals and five assists, while Brooks scored 25 points along with four steals. It was the first time this season that Brooks scored 15 or more points. Zech Lilly was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Amherst County's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Liberty, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
