The Carolina Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walnut Grove Christian. Carolina Christian has not had much luck with Walnut Grove Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Walnut Grove Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adam Smith, who scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lucas Thomason, who scored 15 points.
Carolina Christian bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Walnut Grove Christian, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Fletcher the next time they take the court. Carolina Christian will head out to face Fletcher at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Walnut Grove Christian will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
