Kaneland waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They took down the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers 64-45. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kaneland pushed their record up to 22-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for LaSalle-Peru, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17.
