It was a proper cat-fight when Western Wayne duked it out with Lackawanna Trail on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Vincent Silon paced Western Wayne's offense, picking up 15 kills. Silon got some help from Theo Black and his 21 assists. Finally, John Pyatt kept Western Wayne's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Despite the loss, Lackawanna Trail still got an impressive performance from Holden Edwards, who had nine digs and one assist.

Western Wayne is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Lackawanna Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
