The Logansport Berries lost against the Kokomo Wildkats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Logansport was beaten by the Wildkats 55-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Logansport has scored all season.
Logansport's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kellyn Cripe, who scored six points along with three steals.
Aijia Elliott continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kokomo, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Elliott is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan McClain, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Logansport has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Kokomo, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Logansport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kokomo will play host again and welcome the Mavericks, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McCutcheon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wildkats in Indiana (the Mavericks are ranked 46th, while the Wildkats are ranked 155th).
