Lake Norman Charter has gone 6-1 against Charlotte S recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Knights will be playing at home against the Stampede at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Lake Norman Charter is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over Concord on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Spiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Pearce Conklin was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Lake Norman Charter let Janson Kane and Corey Bean run wild. Kane scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Bean got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI. What's more, Kane posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Palmer Hayes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Lake Norman Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Charlotte S hadn't beaten Pro Stock Royals Academy on the road since March 21, 2024 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Stampede put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 11-5 victory.
The team relied heavily on Bowen Macy, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He also got three hits, which is notable because Charlotte S is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 7-11 otherwise. Elijah Darwin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Lake Norman Charter's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Charlotte S, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
Charlotte S' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lake Norman Charter hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. It's a different story for Charlotte S, though, as they've only averaged .227. Will they be able to contain Lake Norman Charter's hitters?
